To install panoramic wallpaper on stairs you will need the following tools:
- A tape measure ;
- A pencil;
- Bubble level;
- A ruler ;
- Plumb line;
- Scissors;
- Cutter;
- Gluing brush;
- Wallpaper paste;
- Upholstery brush;
- Joint roller;
- Wide spatula;
- Sponge.
Move on to the pause stage:
Cut the strip, then glue the cut strip (glue only one strip at a time).
Starting at the bottom of the staircase, start measuring the length of the wallpaper, then transfer it to the wall (at the corners) using a line drawn vertically.
Fold the top of the longest strip and place it on the line you’ve drawn.
Use a plumb line to check the verticality of the panoramic wallpaper, and feel free to place the paper in pairs.
Fold the second part of the strip and throw it along the wall.
Using a wallpaper brush, apply a brushstroke from the top (you can use a plastic brush on vinyl paper and foam vinyl), from the middle to the edges. Wallpapering involves unrolling the wallpaper and placing it on the substrate, eliminating any air pockets.
Don’t hesitate to stick the strip, as the adhesive is designed for this purpose.
Using an assembly roller, join the strips together;
Repeat the process on the other wall and also on the opposite wall as you go down the stairs.
If any glue gets on the wallpaper, quickly wipe it off with a sponge. And that’s all there is to it!
How to give an old staircase a makeover?
Try a color gradient on your staircase to give it a little sparkle. Go for a subtle ombre look, or choose two contrasting shades to give your staircase an eye-catching look. If, on the other hand, you want your staircase to remain discreet, paint it the same color as the wall on which it’s placed, or use a neutral wallpaper with a subtle print to emphasize the verticality of the space. Alternatively, carpet the banister and sand the wooden treads to create a textured, welcoming look.

If you want to give your staircase a little more personality, consider adding a wallpaper accent wall. Choose a patterned wallpaper with a bright color palette that stands out, and use it to create a stunning focal point. For 3D wallpaper, we recommend this article. You can even apply wallpaper to the risers of each step, which can be a great way to add some color and texture to your staircase. The possibilities are endless, so explore different options to find the perfect look for your home.

How is panoramic wallpaper installed?
Panoramic wallpaper is laid in the same way as staircase wallpaper, by gluing the strips together, overlapping them and aligning them on the walls. It can also be applied with a special adhesive coating, using a roller to achieve a perfect result.
